Software Engineer, Data Engineering

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-performance data models and pipelines for the Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of existing ETL processes.
• Develop and implement data quality checks, QA procedures, and monitoring routines.
• Manage a portfolio of data products to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trustworthy data.
• Work with business partners and stakeholders to gather and understand specific data requirements.
• Collect required data by coordinating with engineering teams, product teams, and third-party providers.
• Onboard and support new engineers as they join the data engineering team.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• 3+ years of experience in ETL orchestration and workflow management tools like Airflow, Flink, Oozie, and Azkaban using AWS/GCP.
• 3+ years of experience with distributed data ecosystems (Spark, Hive, Druid, Presto) and streaming technologies such as Kafka/Flink.
• Expertise in database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing.
• Experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, and/or other DBMS platforms.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools in the full software development lifecycle (preferred).
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Superset, and Looker (preferred).
