Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering

What you'll do

• Architect and operate scalable data pipelines to ingest petabyte-scale telemetry from millions of network devices.
• Engineer resilient, high-performance distributed systems within Kubernetes environments.
• Translate complex data requirements into dependable technical solutions for global operational insights.
• Establish robust observability standards using ELK and Grafana to identify issues and streamline recovery.
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate the development lifecycle and deployment standards.
• Manage real-time streaming or batch processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Debug distributed systems and backend services that process large volumes of daily telemetry data.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's plus 5 years, Master's plus 3 years, PhD, or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience building, operating, or debugging distributed systems or backend services processing large volumes of telemetry data daily.
• Programming experience using Scala, C++, or Java within a production environment.
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines using real-time streaming or batch processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Experience deploying and maintaining containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.
• Experience with SQL, distributed data stores, or operating cloud-native services in production (preferred).
• Familiarity with network telemetry, networking protocols, or large fleet-management systems (preferred).
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Elasticsearch, or Grafana for automating infrastructure and monitoring workflows (preferred).
