Software Engineer, Commerce Segments and Platform

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable end-to-end systems including RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop backend services that ensure high transactional integrity, scalability, and fault tolerance for global commerce.
• Architect and implement user-facing features that can be shared across different regions and domains.
• Triage and debug customer-impacting issues by resolving complex problems in unfamiliar areas of the system.
• Integrate new data flows and re-imagine existing processes to support evolving product architectures.
• Drive projects from inception to production deployment with a focus on performance and developer experience.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert to provide technical direction for specific domains.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining critical systems at scale.
• Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Java programming for back-end services.
• Experience with highly scalable applications, event-driven systems, and RESTful web services.
• Experience with SQL and noSQL databases and entity relationship modeling.
• Proficiency in distributed systems debugging, load balancing, autoscaling, and incident response.
• Proficiency with observability tooling including metrics, logs, and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong commitment to automated testing, including integration, load, and end-to-end testing.
