What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable systems including RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases.
  • Develop scalable services and automated tests to support high-volume transactional integrity.
  • Triage and debug customer and developer impacting issues to provide clear, actionable fixes.
  • Architect and implement top-level user and developer facing features across different regions.
  • Add new integrations and scale current data flows to accommodate developing architectures.
  • Drive projects from inception to production deployment with a focus on performance.
  • Create monitoring and alerting dashboards to ensure system availability and fault tolerance.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining critical systems at scale.
  • Outstanding analytical problem-solving, debugging, and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to take ownership, set direction, and navigate ambiguity in projects.
  • BS degree, preferably in Computer Science or related experience (preferred).
  • Experience with Java (preferred).
  • Experience with load balancing, autoscaling, traffic shaping, distributed systems debugging, and incident response (preferred).
  • Proficiency with observability tooling including metrics, logs, and performance troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Experience with SQL and noSQL databases and entity relationship modeling (preferred).
