What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable end-to-end systems including RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop automated tests, tooling, monitoring systems, and alerting dashboards.
Add new integrations and scale current data flows to accommodate new features and architectures.
Drive projects independently from initial inception through to production deployment.
Triage and debug customer and developer impacting issues to create actionable fixes.
Optimize system performance through active measuring, profiling, and tuning.
Re-imagine existing processes to meet diverse taxation, accounting, and reporting requirements.

What we're looking for

1 to 5 years of experience in object-oriented programming.
Hands-on software engineering experience, particularly with Java and Service Oriented Architectures.
BS degree, preferably in Computer Science or related experience (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Outstanding analytical problem-solving, debugging, and diagnostic skills.
Experience developing large-scale web-based applications and RESTful web services (preferred).
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and entity relationship modeling (preferred).
Experience with load balancing, autoscaling, distributed systems debugging, and incident response (preferred).
