What you'll do

Build core products including the MongoDB MCP Server, Agent Skills, and the Intelligent Assistant Platform.

Design and deliver well-tested components for high-availability web applications and services.
Solve ambiguous technical problems independently and drive projects to completion as requirements evolve.
Shape system architecture, code reviews, and development practices for growing products.
Mentor fellow engineers and take ownership of project outcomes.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure business continuity and incident response.

What we're looking for

Strong background in building core components for scalable, high-availability web applications and services.
3+ years of experience building backend systems, primarily in Node.js and TypeScript.
Track record of identifying problems, implementing solutions, and working on complex projects.
Product-minded approach with the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs and operate amid ambiguity.
Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
Experience building MCP servers, agent skills, or plugins for agentic applications (preferred).
Familiarity with the agentic AI tooling ecosystem and how developers integrate with it (preferred).
Working knowledge of Java, Python, OAuth, database internals, containerization, or AI frameworks (preferred).
