The Software Development Snr Director leads the software development organization within the AI Infrastructure team to build and operate critical systems for high-quality GPU clusters. The role involves developing provisioning, repair, monitoring, maintenance, configuration, and validation systems that manage firmware for GPUs and high-speed backend NICs. The successful candidate will architect broad system interactions and perform hands-on deep dives into low-level drivers and firmware to ensure high availability and performance. Key requirements include expertise in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems, and networking protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP. The position focuses on solving technical challenges in high-performance computing and GPU systems, specifically building the GPU specialization on top of the general compute data plane to support large-scale AI workloads.
Lead the software development organization building and operating AI infrastructure systems.
Develop and execute the technical strategy for provisioning, repair, and monitoring systems.
Architect broad system interactions for high-speed backend NICs and GPU servers.
Manage firmware management and automated validation for large-scale GPU clusters.
Deliver large-scale projects on time while maintaining high quality and reliability.
Oversee the development of systems for high-performance computing and GPU specialization.
Provide technical direction for geographically distributed engineering teams.
Dive deep into low-level drivers, firmware, and systems debugging to resolve issues.
What we're looking for
MS or BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years of experience managing Software Engineering teams.
Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
7-10+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available systems with exposure to low level drivers, firmware, and systems debugging (preferred).
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals (preferred).
Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures (preferred).
Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in high performance computing and GPU systems (preferred).
