Candidates must possess expertise in board design, systems integration, and data center hardware operations, specifically involving GPUs, CPUs, memory, PCIe, Ethernet/InfiniBand networking, and storage technologies. The role solves complex engineering challenges to provide scalable, reliable infrastructure for demanding AI and high-performance computing workloads in hyperscale environments.

What you'll do

  • Define and communicate a long-term technical roadmap for AI infrastructure aligned with OCI objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end design, validation, integration, and lifecycle management of hyperscale hardware platforms.
  • Oversee the build, configuration, delivery, and integration of next-generation hardware platforms.
  • Establish proactive risk management processes to mitigate technical, operational, and supply chain risks.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end hardware reliability strategies using data-driven root cause analysis.
  • Drive large-scale hardware programs to meet technical requirements, milestones, quality expectations, and budget objectives.
  • Partner with software, firmware, and operations teams to optimize hardware for AI and high-performance computing workloads.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, geographically distributed engineering organization.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of technical experience in hardware engineering, hardware systems development, or related technical disciplines.
  • 7+ years of experience managing hardware engineering or hardware platform teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical organizations and geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and program management skills to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Significant experience delivering highly available hardware systems on schedule and within budget (preferred).
  • Expertise in hardware design, board-level engineering, system integration, hardware qualification, and mechanical engineering fundamentals (preferred).
  • Deep technical understanding of server hardware subsystems, including GPUs, CPUs, memory, PCIe, Ethernet/InfiniBand networking, and storage technologies (preferred).
