Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and support the growth of a high-performing Platform and DevOps engineering team.
• Own delivery for business applications including roadmap execution, release planning, and risk management.
• Establish and improve SLOs, SLIs, on-call practices, and incident response processes.
• Operate and evolve Kubernetes/EKS environments across multi-AZ and multi-region architectures.
• Drive GitOps and CI/CD best practices using tools like Argo CD, Flux, and GitHub Actions.
• Build paved roads and reusable developer workflows to improve engineering productivity.
• Manage infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Improve observability across logs, metrics, and tracing while ensuring secure-by-default infrastructure.

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years of experience in people leadership managing and developing engineers.
• At least 7 years of engineering experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Experience delivering and operating business-critical applications within AWS environments.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EKS, EC2, VPC networking, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in Kubernetes operations, Helm, autoscaling, and infrastructure security practices.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools like Argo CD, Flux, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Programming experience in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js.
