Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - Serial IO Interface will join the team developing SOCs used within Apple devices. What you'll do

Perform signal and power integrity analysis for high-speed serial interfaces from silicon to package to board.
Execute 3D model extractions and simulations for design optimization across all channel components including PCBs, connectors, and cables.
Conduct end-to-end PDN sign-off including modeling of die, interposer, package, and PMU.
Perform transient voltage noise simulations for inrush and coupled noise analysis to meet impedance and voltage droop specifications.
Define, influence, and implement technical interface specifications for high-speed serial systems.
Drive co-design across SOCs, packages, and systems to optimize key performance indicators for products.
Develop and execute test plans to validate signal and power integrity results.
Collaborate with product and system engineering teams to debug and improve product yield.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
PhD and 8+ years of industry experience or equivalent is preferred.
Experience in prior design and modeling with USB, PCIe, or comparable high-speed serial interfaces.
Expertise in signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) for high-speed serdes interfaces.
Proficiency in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory.
Experience with lab equipment including VNA, TDR, real-time scopes, and spectrum analyzers.
Experience with package and PCB design analysis, methodology development, and lab correlation of simulation results.
Strong communication skills and an excellent academic background.
