Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - Serial IO Interface works with the team developing SOCs used within Apple devices. What you'll do

Manage all aspects of signal and power integrity for high-speed SerDes interfaces.
Define, influence, and implement technical specifications for serial interface systems.
Perform 3D model extractions and simulations for silicon, package, and PCB components.
Drive co-design across SOCs, packages, and systems to optimize key performance indicators.
Execute end-to-end PDN sign-off including modeling of die, interposer, package, and PCB.
Conduct transient voltage noise simulations for inrush and coupled noise analysis.
Develop and execute test plans to validate signal and power integrity results.
Collaborate with product and system engineering teams to debug and improve product yield.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience are required.
A PhD and 8+ years of industry experience (or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience in prior design and modeling with USB, PCIe, or comparable high-speed serial interfaces is required.
Familiarity with signal and power integrity issues for high-speed serial interfaces is required.
Experience in package/board design, SI/PI methodology development, and lab correlation of simulation results is preferred.
Proficiency with 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory is preferred.
Familiarity with lab equipment such as VNA, TDR, real-time scopes, and spectrum analyzers is preferred.
Strong communication skills and an excellent academic background are preferred.
