The Server Ops Program Manager joins the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team to build and operate massive scale, integrated cloud services within a distributed, multi-tenant environment. As a Principal level Technically focused Program Manager, you will provide technical leadership to a global team of engineers and technicians. Your daily responsibilities include iteratively scaling and improving complex systems for high scalability, performance, and security while partnering with development and data center operations teams. You will utilize Python, scripting languages, and Codex to build automated operational systems. The role requires deep knowledge of networking, storage, compute, and distributed computing. You will also leverage Jira, Confluence, and Bit-Bucket while applying Reliability Engineering principles to solve infrastructure challenges across compute, networking, search, and store platform feature areas.

What you'll do

Iteratively scale and improve complex systems with high scalability, performance, and security.
Provide technical leadership to a global team of engineers and technicians.
Partner with development and data center operations teams to ensure infrastructure safety and security.
Build and manage automated operational systems for globally distributed cloud infrastructure.
Accommodate technical requirements from various cloud platform teams including compute, networking, search, and storage.
Present complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Apply Reliability Engineering principles to maintain cloud infrastructure availability and performance.

What we're looking for

Must have 4+ years of experience in a software development environment.
Must have development experience in Python, scripting languages, and/or Codex.
Must have a strong understanding of system concepts including networking, storage, and compute.
Must have a good understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.
Must have experience working with other cloud platform teams to accommodate their requirements.
Must have written and verbal communication skills to present complex information clearly to all audiences.
Must be comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.
Familiarity with Reliability Engineering principles, Jira, Confluence, and Bit-Bucket (preferred).
