SerDes Circuit Design Engineer will join the high-speed SerDes team to develop next-generation, high-performance wireline transceivers and intellectual property for system-on-chip products. Key technical requirements include experience with advanced CMOS FinFET technology, mixed-signal components like LDOs and amplifiers, and high-speed digital circuits such as serializers and deserializers. Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Matlab, Python, or VerilogAMS is required to model performance. The role addresses the challenge of developing complex IPs for 64+ Gbps NRZ and PAM applications using protocols like PCIe, USB, and DP.

What you'll do

Design high-performance and high-speed AMS circuits for SerDes PHY components including Rx, CDR, Tx, and bias generators.
Evaluate different circuit topologies to optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) for specific product requirements.
Create block-level specifications and execute transistor-level implementations and behavioral modeling for complex IPs.
Drive mask designs to implement the layout view of integrated circuits.
Develop mixed-signal calibration algorithms and digitally assisted analog design features like LMS-based adaptive loops.
Deliver high-quality IP views to SoC teams that meet strict production standards.
Perform lab testing, bench evaluation, and data analysis for high-speed serial I/O components.
Utilize scripting and automation tools to improve the efficiency of the design process.

What we're looking for

Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
Deep understanding of analog mixed-signal design with experience in high-speed serial links (preferred).
Experience designing analog mixed-signal blocks like Bandgap, LDOs, amplifiers, and oscillators (preferred).
Understanding of mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power, and low-noise techniques (preferred).
Grasp of digitally assisted analog design concepts such as background calibrations and LMS based adaptive loops (preferred).
Experience with high-speed digital circuits and knowledge of Tx/Rx equalization for 64+ Gbps NRZ and PAM applications (preferred).
Knowledge of CDR architectures, lab equipment, and advanced CMOS FinFET technologies (preferred).
Experience in circuit modeling, scripting, automation, and high-speed SerDes protocols like PCIe or USB (preferred).
