What you'll do

Identify, quantify, and mitigate complex mechanical risks and design trade-offs early in the product lifecycle.
Develop robust, data-driven design solutions using finite element analysis (FEA) and closed-form analytical solutions.
Perform comprehensive tolerance analysis to ensure performance across manufacturing variations and operating conditions.
Create 3D CAD models specifically for advanced analytical modeling and simulation workflows.
Use Python or Matlab to perform numerical simulations and develop automated tools for engineering teams.
Communicate complex technical findings and design recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Drive consensus on optimal architectural solutions through collaborative decision-making.

What we're looking for

BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Deep understanding of advanced mechanical engineering principles including solid mechanics, materials science, and heat transfer.
Proven experience with data-driven design using statistical analysis and tolerance analysis.
Experience designing for high-volume production environments (consumer electronics or sensing is a plus).
Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software for creating and preparing designs for analytical modeling and simulation workflows (preferred).
Demonstrated mastery in advanced computational mechanics, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to model multi-physics behaviors (preferred).
Expertise in programming languages like Python or Matlab for data analysis, numerical simulations, and workflow automation (preferred).
