Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Design and optimize distributed system components for high scalability, resiliency, and large-scale data processing.
• Implement fault-tolerant features including redundancy, replication, automatic failover, circuit breakers, and retry mechanisms.
• Develop automated tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline troubleshooting and cloud infrastructure management.
• Build monitoring systems featuring custom dashboards, telemetry, and alerts to proactively detect system failures.
• Conduct performance testing, load testing, and fault-injection scenarios to ensure system correctness and availability.
• Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and author operational runbooks.
• Apply advanced security controls including encryption and access management for multi-tenant environments.
• Ensure all infrastructure and code comply with industry standards, documentation requirements, and change management plans.

What we're looking for

• Must have 3 to 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience designing and optimizing components in distributed systems for scalability, resiliency, and operability is required.
• Ability to implement fault-tolerant paths including redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts is required.
• Proficiency in developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for troubleshooting and maintenance is required.
• Experience implementing advanced security controls such as encryption and access management is required.
• Ability to perform performance and load testing on large-scale data processing systems is required.
• Ability to participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and develop operational runbooks is required.
