What you'll do

Design and optimize distributed system components for high scalability, resiliency, and large-scale data processing.
Implement fault-tolerant features including redundancy, replication, automatic failover, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
Develop automated infrastructure (IaC) and tools to streamline troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Build monitoring systems including custom dashboards, telemetry, and alert configurations to proactively detect failures.
Participate in incident response, conduct root cause analyses, and author operational runbooks.
Execute performance testing, load testing, and fault-injection scenarios to ensure system correctness.
Apply advanced security controls such as encryption and access management for multi-tenant environments.
Manage data integrity through standard replication and synchronization techniques across distributed systems.

What we're looking for

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
3 to 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
Experience designing and optimizing components in distributed systems for scalability, resiliency, and operability.
Experience with data plane platforms and distributed state tools for high-volume retrieval, storage, and processing.
Ability to implement fault-tolerant paths including redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
Proficiency in developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for troubleshooting and maintenance.
Experience implementing advanced security controls such as encryption and access management.
Ability to perform performance and load testing to ensure system correctness and availability.
