The Senior Wind Project Engineer serves as the primary technical lead for wind projects throughout their entire lifecycle, including development, construction, and operation. Manage wind projects through the entire lifecycle including development, construction, and operation.
Perform technical due diligence and design reviews for M&A projects and portfolios.
Oversee preliminary Balance of Plant designs including site civil, turbine foundations, and substations.
Manage the RFP process by evaluating bids from contractors and making award recommendations.
Negotiate contracts for Balance of Plant components and Turbine Supply Agreements.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact and lead for all assigned projects.
Oversee construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Mentor team members on emerging technologies, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
What we're looking for
Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
5+ years professional experience in wind system design, development, construction and analysis.
Experience with design, construction, and operations for MV collection systems, substations, gen-ties, switchyards, site civil, turbine foundations, and geotechnical.
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Excel.
10+ years professional experience in wind system design, development, construction and analysis (preferred).
