Senior Warhead Design Engineer, Lethality Team

What you'll do

• Design and mature complex warhead, ordnance, and munitions systems from concept to production.
• Create high-fidelity prototype parts and assemblies to evaluate performance through physical testing.
• Execute arena, ground, flight, and system-level testing for munitions products.
• Develop mechanical designs, technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive engineering documentation.
• Analyze test data and video outputs to inform critical design decisions and iterations.
• Manage the assembly and disassembly of explosive test articles and precision targets.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, safety, and supply chain partners to solve complex engineering problems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace, or another engineering discipline.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience as an individual contributing engineer focused on naval ordnance/munitions systems.
• Experience creating complex mechanical designs using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or NX.
• Experience with test data acquisition, analysis, and project coordination.
• Ability to prepare technical engineering documentation including specifications, reports, and drawings.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Preferred experience in explosive operations, munitions handling, and DoD Weapons Safety Boards.
• Preferred experience designing and scaling production of mechanical components at volume.
