Senior Systems Engineer, Data Center AI

What you'll do

• Develop AI/ML solutions that integrate Qualcomm hardware, software, and ecosystems for high-performance inference.
• Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
• Implement fine-tuning and distillation techniques for machine learning models.
• Research, simulate, and validate systems-level software, AI hardware, and deep learning algorithms.
• Perform AI model benchmarking and functional analysis to define system requirements and specifications.
• Propose and execute deployment strategies with AI model and workload optimizations.
• Analyze system-level designs including interface definitions, functional requirements, and performance metrics.
• Triage system-level problems to determine root causes and present debugging results to the team.

What we're looking for

• Hold a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Possess a deep understanding of ML development, deployment, and applications.
• Possess a deep understanding of system performance profiling and parallel computing.
• Master's or PhD Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Physics or related field (preferred).
• Good understanding of GenAI architectures including transformers, diffusion, LLMs, LVMs, and embeddings (preferred).
• Working experience with fine-tuning GenAI models and Reinforcement Learning (preferred).
• Experience with compiler optimizations, distributed systems, and MLOps for AI application development (preferred).
