Senior Systems Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and maintain processes, procedures, and tooling to monitor and operate a global Service Provider network.
• Develop proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to improve network reliability and customer experience.
• Design robust, scalable, and maintainable systems for large-scale infrastructure.
• Integrate internal tools with existing ticketing systems, dashboards, and metrics services.
• Analyze network telemetry from thousands of satellites to identify and resolve issues.
• Develop automation to proactively prevent technical problems before they impact customers.
• Provide incident response and technical support as part of an on-call rotation.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• 5+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
• 5+ years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Experience building and maintaining network monitoring solutions in production environments.
• Experience designing or architecting systems for reliability and scaling.
• Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
