Senior Systems Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and maintain processes, procedures, and tooling to monitor and operate a global Service Provider network.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end network architecture across satellite constellations and terrestrial systems.
• Establish and enforce incident management and problem management processes for rapid issue resolution.
• Coordinate with service owners and cross-functional teams to resolve active incidents.
• Prioritize and track initiatives across multiple teams to systematically eliminate recurring technical problems.
• Develop proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to improve network reliability and customer experience.
• Analyze network telemetry from thousands of satellites to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Create automation tools to prevent network problems before they impact customers.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• 5+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
• 5+ years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Experience using network troubleshooting tools, automation tools, and version control systems to manage and troubleshoot networks.
• Experience with incident management and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
