Senior System Development Engineer, Leo Bus & Flight Operations

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of System Development Engineers and external contractors.
• Define testing strategies, architectures, and best practices for Software Release Management validation.
• Drive technical decisions regarding testing frameworks, tools, and infrastructure.
• Execute end-to-end testing across flight software, ground systems, and infrastructure.
• Validate complex satellite communication protocols and operational workflows.
• Oversee hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and simulation-based testing efforts.
• Ensure testing environments accurately replicate production conditions for high-quality releases.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• 8+ years of experience in system testing, QA engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience in technical leadership or senior engineering positions.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and coordinating with contractors.
• Proficiency in programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience designing testing strategies for complex distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and CI/CD pipeline build processes.
• Expertise in system integration testing, API testing, performance testing, and load testing.
