What you'll do

  • Manage and optimize Windows and Red Hat Linux systems to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Utilize AWS cloud technologies, including Amazon Machine Images (AMI) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
  • Perform STIGing and hardening of AWS AMIs while installing monitoring agents.
  • Update Packer configurations and scripts to facilitate automated hardening and custom tool installation.
  • Develop an automated patching methodology using AWS Systems Manager.
  • Monitor system performance and resource usage to identify and resolve potential security risks.
  • Maintain server systems and network infrastructure to ensure business continuity.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, Graduate Degree with 4 years, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification such as CCNA Security or Security+ CE.
  • Experience in system administration for AWS EC2, Amazon Machine Images (AMI), and virtual infrastructures.
  • Proficiency in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Red Hat Linux and Windows systems.
  • Experience with STIGing, hardening AWS AMIs, and automated patching using AWS Systems Manager.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Gitlab Runner, continuous integration, and build management (preferred).
  • Security clearance.
