What you'll do

Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems from the operating system through the application layer.
Install, configure, patch, and secure enterprise Linux distributions including RHEL, Rocky Linux, and CentOS.
Manage core infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, identity management, and authentication protocols.
Deploy and maintain virtualized or containerized environments while managing compute, storage, and networking resources.
Maintain system compliance with System Security Plans and perform Secure the Enterprise (STE) activities.
Configure and monitor security tools to meet DoD network and cybersecurity requirements.
Provide technical support and maintenance for mission-critical systems within classified operational environments.

What we're looking for

Ten years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
Five additional years of System Administration experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
Experience administering Linux systems including RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, or comparable enterprise distributions.
Proficiency in managing Windows infrastructure and core services like DHCP, DNS, and identity management.
Experience with virtualization platforms (KVM, Proxmox, VMware) and container technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of networking protocols, system hardening, security tools, and cryptographic technologies like PKI and TLS.
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
