JOB TITLE: Mid/Sr. System Administrator TS/SCI Poly
The Mid/Sr. System Administrator joins the Cyber & Analytics Business Area to provide support for a large, complex network environment with geographically distributed systems. This role involves maintaining multiple air-gapped systems, managing storage and network infrastructure, and delivering solutions for system engineering requests. Daily responsibilities include installing applications, optimizing server and desktop configurations, performing security management, and managing complex server enclaves. The position requires executing patching, certificate renewals, vulnerability management assessments, and Active Directory configurations. Key technologies include Windows Server 2019, Red Hat, VMWare, SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, and Nessus. Candidates must apply knowledge of information security principles, virtualization, and hardware reimaging to solve technical problems within a domain involving Security Engineering, Signals Intelligence, and Cryptographic Key Management.
Install applications and administer systems to ensure all processes run continuously and efficiently.
Maintain and optimize server and desktop configurations across multiple air-gapped systems and domains.
Perform security management, including patching, certificate renewals, and vulnerability management assessments.
Create and maintain complex server enclaves and Active Directory configurations.
Identify and correct hardware and software issues while developing rework solutions for system problems.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of complex server and network environments for incident resolution.
Communicate with users and external support personnel regarding system outages, upgrades, and resolution options.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Must have experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff.
Must be proficient with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
Must have experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions.
Must have experience with or knowledge of SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus, Red Hat, and VMWare.
Must have experience with both Client and Server virtualization environments and experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware.
Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Proficiency with SQL Server (preferred).
SALT and Python scripting experience (preferred).
Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment (preferred).
Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team (preferred).
Knowledge of PKI systems using HSMs and knowledge of PowerShell and PowerCLI (preferred).
Experience documenting information for security accreditation and certification (preferred).
