Senior Staff IT Storage Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the multi-year architecture, scalability, and capacity roadmap for NetApp ONTAP and StorageGRID.
• Drive technical direction for petabyte-scale NFS environments, including performance optimization and Linux filesystem tuning.
• Architect, deploy, and support enterprise-scale storage platforms and multi-site replication topologies.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues across EDA applications, Linux NFS clients, and networking.
• Advance infrastructure automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and ONTAP REST APIs.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and leading design and architecture reviews.
• Influence infrastructure strategy across CAD, SRE, and silicon engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 10+ years of experience, Master’s with 8+ years, or Ph.D. with 6+ years.
• 10+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience, including 5+ years supporting large-scale EDA and HPC environments.
• Expert-level experience with NetApp ONTAP, including FlexGroup, SnapMirror, FabricPool, QoS, performance analysis, and ONTAP REST API automation.
• Deep expertise in Linux filesystems and NFS environments, including XFS, ZFS, ext4, and performance troubleshooting using kernel traces or eBPF.
• Strong automation and Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and API-driven tooling.
• Demonstrated experience defining storage architecture, scalability, and operational strategy for large-scale enterprise environments supporting petabytes and thousands of clients.

• In-depth expertise in StorageGRID (preferred); experience with parallel filesystems like Lustre or GPFS (preferred); NetApp certifications (preferred).
