Senior Staff Engineer, Diagnostics and AI

What you'll do

• Define and evolve the architecture for scan, memory, and emerging silicon diagnostic capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure high-volume, production-quality diagnostics across all product lines.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering transformations by implementing agentic workflows, analytics, and automation in yield processes.
• Develop evidence models that convert silicon findings into actionable learning for design, test, and manufacturing teams.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical problems where requirements or solution paths are not yet defined.
• Establish technical roadmaps, governance frameworks, and execution plans to align cross-functional engineering teams.
• Provide global technical direction and mentorship to the Bangalore Diagnostics organization.
• Build a technical community to promote reusable solutions and shared knowledge across different product lines.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with 6+ years of ASIC experience, OR Master's with 5+ years, OR PhD with 4+ years.
• 12+ years of semiconductor engineering experience including ATPG, memory diagnostics, DFT, silicon debug, and yield analysis (preferred).
• Deep understanding of diagnostic concepts, methods, workflows, and infrastructure for complex post-silicon capabilities (preferred).
• Experience architecting or scaling automation, machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent engineering workflows in complex domains (preferred).
• Ability to lead strategy, roadmaps, and architectures while influencing cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority (preferred).
• Proven ability to solve problems under ambiguity and manage technical governance, risk management, and project plans (preferred).
• Experience leading across geographic, functional, and cultural boundaries in distributed teams (preferred).
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate complex strategies to both technical and executive audiences (preferred).
