What you'll do

Develop and evaluate image and video processing algorithms for space-based infrared systems.
Perform performance analyses of algorithms to support system-level trade studies and modeling efforts.
Translate mission needs into actionable engineering requirements and manage requirement traceability.
Write code in Python or C/C++ to support embedded software and firmware development.
Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, and test plans for hardware and software integration.
Execute sensor calibration, verification activities, and performance validation to meet mission objectives.
Create and improve instrument documentation, internal processes, and formal test procedures.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 6 years of experience, a Graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Ability to write code in Python and/or C/C++.
Experience with infrared or electro-optical sensing systems (preferred).
Experience with space or missile defense mission applications (preferred).
Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or complex aerospace system development (preferred).
Experience with requirements management, interface control, and verification and validation (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
