Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering (Software Solutions) joins the team to support the development and sustainment of full-stack applications for Quality and Manufacturing continuous improvement activities. This role involves converting manufacturing processes into structured data models, integrations, and production-ready applications. You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and frontend experiences, translating process control concepts into APIs, ontologies, and visualizations. Key technologies include Python, SQL, Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Streamlit, Power BI, and React. You will also work with SCADA systems, MQTT, and Unified Namespace architectures to integrate data from MES, PLM, and ERP systems. The position requires managing the full application lifecycle to solve complex manufacturing data problems, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions that enhance digital capabilities and operational performance across the enterprise.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software solutions to support Quality business processes.
Develop backend services, data models, and reusable components using Python and SQL.
Create intuitive frontend experiences for engineering and production personnel to access quality information.
Translate process control workflows into structured data models, APIs, and application functionality.
Build and maintain interfaces with SCADA systems and shop-floor manufacturing data sources.
Manage the full application lifecycle including requirements analysis, technical design, source control, and production support.
Troubleshoot application and data issues to determine root causes and coordinate resolutions.
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to team members.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in software development, application engineering, data engineering, systems integration, or a related technical discipline.
Graduate degree with 4 years of related experience.
Minimum of 10 years of prior related software development experience in lieu of a degree.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Experience developing backend and frontend solutions using Python, SQL, and related technologies (preferred).
Experience across the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting (preferred).
Experience developing applications in Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Streamlit, Power BI, or similar platforms (preferred).
