Senior Specialist Quality Engineer I

What you'll do

• Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) tasks during the design and development phases.
• Develop and revise quality assurance procedures, statistical sampling techniques, inspection methods, and technical specifications.
• Lead supplier root cause investigations and issue Corrective Actions to resolve material defects and non-conformances.
• Conduct supplier quality audits, source inspections, and First Article Inspections in coordination with Supply Chain Management.
• Interpret and flow down customer quality requirements to internal engineering, manufacturing, and inspection teams.
• Analyze metrics and data to drive process improvement projects and ensure early detection of nonconformance.
• Act as a Quality Subject Matter Expert to lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations.
• Manage the cost accounts for quality engineering elements within the program work breakdown structure.

What we're looking for

• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Quality Engineering experience, or a Graduate degree and 4 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• 10 years of Quality Engineering, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• 6 years of experience reading and interpreting complex electrical and mechanical drawings.
• 6 years of experience with problem-solving tools such as 8D, APQP, Value Stream Mapping, and CAPA.
• 6 years of experience working in team environments and dynamic environments with changing priorities.
• Aerospace or Defense Manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Security clearance.
