As a Senior Product Quality Engineer at Anduril in Costa Mesa, CA, you will collaborate with design teams and partners to define and execute processes that ensure high-quality missile programs. Your daily responsibilities include driving product development and production through quality planning, inspection, and acceptance testing, as well as leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities and Material Review Board (MRB) sessions. You will develop an overall quality plan for various missile projects, leveraging the Anduril Quality Management System to build confidence in customer expectations. Ideal candidates have experience in missile manufacturing, product development, test/system performance criteria, metrology, and continuous improvement, with a strong background in engineering, manufacturing, or quality management of missile systems. Proficiency in IPC standards, general workmanship standards, and tools like Teamcenter, SolidWorks/NX, Jira, Foundry, and manufacturing execution is preferred for this role that demands expertise in high-complexity manufacturing environments.
Drive product development and production for missile programs using quality processes.
Resolve ambiguities in production related to product maturity, process stability, and field performance.
Champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to sustainable manufacturing processes.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and inspection process performance.
Develop overall quality plans for missile projects and ensure qualification of internal and external manufacturing processes.
What we're looking for
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality on previous missile or high velocity vehicle systems.
Working knowledge of design review and quality management for missile systems, including PCBA, harnessing, avionics, composites, propulsion, and lethality systems.
Knowledgeable of missile storage and maintenance processes.
Experience partnering with reliability engineering, chief engineers, architects, manufacturing engineering, and customer-facing teams to meet requirements.
TS/SCI security clearance required.
8+ years developing quality systems for low volume, high complexity manufacturing environments and suppliers (preferred).
Familiarity with IPC standards and general workmanship standards (preferred).
