Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage and improve supplier quality programs across product development, manufacturing, and supply base operations.
• Improve inspection processes and tools for the qualification and management of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor and report on the performance metrics of internal teams and external suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve design, manufacturability, and test information.
• Conduct quality audits, failure analyses, and incident investigations to resolve reliability issues.
• Develop advanced risk management tools and reporting mechanisms in partnership with supply chain teams.
• Perform source inspections and manage direct customer shipments from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Mentor and train new Supplier Quality Engineers on internal processes and standards.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• A Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 6 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, or Process Engineer in a Defense or Aerospace company (preferred).
• 6 years’ experience with supply chain management/supplier management processes, tools, and techniques (preferred).
• 4 years’ experience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis such as DFMEA or PFMEA (preferred).
• 6 years’ experience with continuous improvement tools like Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and FRACAS (preferred).
• 6 years’ hands on experience with AS9100 Quality Management System and AS9102 First Article requirements (preferred).
• Professional certification such as APICS, PMP, CMP, Quality Engineering, or Six Sigma (preferred).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance; only U.S. citizens may be granted security clearances.
