Senior Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineering

What you'll do

• Interpret and apply security controls from NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 into functional requirements.
• Support the implementation and validation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and configuration baselines.
• Execute and support RMF lifecycle activities including categorization, control selection, assessment, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop, maintain, and review RMF documentation such as SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and Security Plans.
• Review high-level system designs to ensure security requirements are met across software, networking, and hardware.
• Interface with internal stakeholders, Authorizing Officials, and external assessors to support authorization efforts.
• Track and report compliance status, risks, and remediation activities to program leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 6 years of experience, a Graduate degree with 4 years, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle as it relates to security objectives (preferred).
• Exposure to cryptographic systems, FIPS 140-3, or NSA certification processes (preferred).
• Experience with high-assurance or classified systems (preferred).
• Hands-on experience executing RMF within DoD environments (preferred).
• Experience applying NIST SP 800-53 security controls and STIGs (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
