As a Senior Solution Engineer - Security within the Microsoft Security organization, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers modernize their security architecture and posture. You will drive technical sales through demos and proofs of concept while leading hands-on engagements such as hackathons, code-with sessions, and architecture workshops to accelerate the adoption of developer tools and cloud platforms. Your daily work involves co-designing secure, scalable architectures, resolving technical blockers, and integrating AI applications into development workflows. You will utilize a deep technical understanding of Microsoft M365 Defender, Defender for cloud, and Sentinel to develop strategies for extended detection and response, zero trust, and cloud security. This role focuses on solving complex security challenges by guiding customers through the entire development lifecycle to improve their overall security posture.
Drive technical sales through demos and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to influence solution design and production deployments.
Lead hands-on engagements including hackathons, code-with sessions, and architecture workshops to accelerate platform adoption.
Co-design secure, scalable architectures with developers and platform leads to build trusted relationships.
Resolve technical blockers and objections while collaborating with engineering teams to improve products.
Maintain deep expertise in cloud security technologies including Microsoft M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.
Develop strategies and recommendations to improve customer security posture and create tailored win plans.
Create differentiated competition strategies for XDR, zero trust, and cloud security solutions.
Represent the company through thought leadership in developer communities and customer forums.
What we're looking for
Must have a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, or equivalent experience in technical pre-sales or consulting.
Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States that does not require employer sponsorship.
Experience with cloud security architectures and technologies including Microsoft M365 Defender, Defender for cloud, and Sentinel is required.
Ability to drive technical sales through demos, PoCs, and hands-on engagements like hackathons and architecture workshops.
Capability to design secure, scalable architectures and provide recommendations to improve client security posture.
8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery (preferred).
6+ years of experience with cloud/hybrid infrastructure, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management (preferred).
Certifications in relevant technologies such as Office 365, Power BI, Azure, or Information Security (preferred).
