As a Sales Specialist - Security within the Solution Specialist team, you will serve as a solution sales leader for large customers across enterprise, regulated, and partner services organizations. You will manage senior business relationships, identify security opportunities, and build business cases to drive digital transformation through specialized security solutions. Your daily responsibilities include managing an end-to-end security pipeline, conducting forecasting, and collaborating with virtual teams of partners and internal resources to cross-sell and up-sell products. The role requires deep technical acumen in areas such as threat protection, identity and access management, SIEM, and cloud native application protection platforms. You will leverage knowledge of technologies like Microsoft 365 Defender, Sentinel, and XDR to address complex security challenges while navigating the evolving landscape of sophisticated cyber threats to ensure customer safety.
Manage senior-level business relationships to identify security opportunities and build cases to close sales.
Lead virtual teams of internal resources and partners to execute end-to-end security solutions.
Map external stakeholders and develop strategies to accelerate deal closures and drive product consumption.
Conduct technical security conversations and share best practices regarding competitor knowledge and solution areas.
Manage the end-to-end security pipeline for an assigned territory including forecasting and portfolio planning.
Perform business analysis with marketing and partners to identify and target high-potential customers.
Obtain relevant product certifications and complete training aligned with specific workloads and industries.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of security-related sales or account management experience in an industry like Healthcare, Government, Education, Manufacturing, Financial Services, or Retail (preferred).
4+ years of solution or services sales experience (preferred).
Domain experience in Microsoft Security and/or Compliance products (preferred).
One or more certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SC-500, or AZ-900 (preferred).
Technical passion with a good understanding of cloud security technologies including threat protection, CNAPP, SIEM, and Identity and Access Management (preferred).
Familiarity with Microsoft AI-based security offerings like Security Copilot, M365 Defender, XDR, Sentinel, or related technologies like Prisma Cloud, Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, and Splunk (preferred).
