Senior Software Engineering Manager, Energy Services

What you'll do

• Define and communicate the team strategy, technical roadmap, and durable architecture decisions.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for a team of 11 engineers.
• Maintain technical credibility by engaging deeply in architecture reviews and critical technical decisions.
• Build shared services and infrastructure that other Apple teams can adopt and rely on.
• Drive the team's adoption and fluency with agentic and generative AI tooling to accelerate delivery.
• Operate and continuously improve mission-critical production distributed systems for reliability and security.
• Partner with product, security, privacy, and compliance stakeholders to deliver high-standard solutions.

What we're looking for

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of direct people management responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading and growing high-performing software engineering teams of 10+ engineers.
• Deep expertise in designing and operating mission-critical, highly scalable distributed systems at production scale.
• Demonstrated ability to remain technically credible in architecture reviews and technical decisions without requiring day-to-day code review.
• Strong background in security, compliance, and governance practices for enterprise-scale platform services.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks, generative AI tooling, or LLM-integrated developer workflows (preferred).
