Senior Engineering Manager, Software Development

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor the development team to ensure career growth and daily success.
• Deliver high-quality shared user interface solutions for the video editing technology stack.
• Represent team progress and breakthroughs to senior leadership through regular roadmaps and schedules.
• Determine strategic approaches for delivering high-value software solutions for Premiere Pro customers.
• Solve technical problems and continually improve system performance and product quality.
• Partner with design and product management to define and build the correct set of features.
• Manage large-scale projects involving extensive codebases and legacy code modernization.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of leading/managing software engineering teams.
• Experience developing applications for Mac and/or Windows.
• Expertise in desktop interface development, including architectural and functional differences between macOS and Windows.
• Strong design sensibility with a focus on UI conceptualization, layout, and user experience.
• Experience managing and contributing to large-scale projects with extensive codebases and legacy code.
• Understanding of software development processes, including standard Agile methodologies.
• Solid understanding of accessibility guidelines to ensure inclusive and compliant UI experiences.
• Strong grasp of performance optimization in UI development, including hardware acceleration and efficient rendering.
