As a Senior Software Engineer/Developer, you will join the team to develop microservices, integrations, and backend services using industry-standard patterns while building automated and manual test suites for product quality. You will design and maintain UI and API components, manage CI/CD pipelines, and resolve full-stack technical issues to translate functional requirements into solutions for employer-sponsored financial, health, and benefits systems. Your daily work involves performing complex technical analysis, creating documentation, and managing project plans in an Agile environment. The role requires expertise in Java, JavaScript, Angular, RESTful web services, and Selenium. You will utilize a diverse tech stack including Spring Boot, Oracle/DB2, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, and Maven. Additionally, you will use tools like Splunk for monitoring, Jira for tracking, and JMeter for performance testing to ensure the stability of scalable multitiered web applications.
Develop microservices, integrations, and backend services using standard development patterns and divisional technology stacks.
Build and enhance automated and manual test suites to ensure product quality and release readiness.
Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for scalable web applications.
Design, develop, and maintain user interface (UI) and application programming interface (API) components.
Perform technical and functional analysis to translate business requirements into effective software solutions.
Conduct all phases of testing, including user acceptance testing and post-installation troubleshooting.
Create comprehensive technical documentation, project artifacts, and workflows for corporate initiatives.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance for customer-facing and business-critical applications using tools like Splunk or AppDynamics.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and three years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and one year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
Experience performing full-stack development and automated testing using Java, JavaScript, Angular, RESTful web services, and Selenium in a financial services environment.
Expertise in mid-tier technologies including Java EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, or Apache Camel.
Expertise in front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Indexed DB.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies like Oracle, DB2, PL/SQL, or Impala and test frameworks like Junit, MockMVC, or Mockito.
Expertise in automation and deployment tools including AWS, Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, Veracode, SonarQube, or EKS.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or Data Dog.
