Principal Cloud Engineer

What you'll do

• Write code to create new features, enhance existing functionality, fix bugs, and automate tests.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs for complex software applications and subsystems.
• Design and implement application-level architecture for enterprise-grade solutions.
• Build and integrate data platforms using AWS Glue, Lake Formation, and Snowflake.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, and Terraform.
• Architect event-driven systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Perform technical and functional analysis to provide solutions for daily technology issues.
• Create comprehensive documentation and manage project life cycle plans across multiple platforms.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer.
• Expertise designing and developing cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot on AWS (EKS, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway) and Kubernetes.
• Expertise building and integrating data platforms using AWS Glue, Lake Formation, and Snowflake for analytics and transformation.
• Expertise implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins, Gitlab, Maven, and Terraform.
• Experience performing unit and integration testing using Junit, Mockito, and Postman in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
• Expertise delivering scalable, secure enterprise solutions via event-driven systems, WireMock for service virtualization, and observability tools like Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and provide technical strategy advice to senior management.
