What you'll do

  • Design, implement, test, and support production-quality compiler and runtime features for the Windows ML MLIR platform.
  • Optimize machine learning model execution across CPU, GPU, and NPU hardware through graph transformations and memory management.
  • Own complex features from initial design through deployment using telemetry to improve reliability and performance.
  • Identify and integrate system dependencies while ensuring security, compliance, and performance across the entire stack.
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to modern coding patterns and best practices.
  • Act as a designated responsible individual (DRI) to monitor systems, manage on-call rotations, and resolve production incidents.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop project plans, estimate work, and manage release timelines.
  • Conduct technical sessions to educate the team on engineering principles like security, scalability, and accessibility.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is accepted as an alternative qualification.
  • Candidates must have 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor's, 6+ years with a Master's, or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is required.
  • Experience with MLIR, LLVM, ONNX Runtime, or comparable compiler and runtime technologies is required.
  • Experience optimizing machine learning workloads for CPU, GPU, NPU, or other heterogeneous hardware is required.
  • Knowledge of machine learning inference, graph compilation, memory management, and performance analysis is required.
  • Experience developing and debugging production software in modern C++ is required.
