What you'll do

Architect, design, and implement consumer-facing features for the Walmart Canada Mobile App using Kotlin, Java, and XML.
Create and maintain internal shared libraries in the Android SDK for the global app.
Implement a dependency injection framework for various end-user feature components in the eCommerce app.
Debug production issues using Charles and Postman to validate API interactions with GraphQL and RESTful services.
Design and develop memory-efficient solutions for the User Interface and ensure high unit testing coverage.
Ensure eCommerce site components conform to specific performance and scalability requirements.
Script Continuous Integration Automation jobs using YAML and Python.
Write concise and reliable Android UI tests using the Espresso framework.

What we're looking for

Master's degree in a related engineering or computer science field and 1 year of software engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or computer science field and 3 years of software engineering experience.
Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages Kotlin and Java.
Experience implementing asynchronous and multi-threading programming using Coroutines.
Experience writing GraphQL queries and using Apollo GraphQL client to establish network connections.
Experience utilizing LiveData and ViewModel to write lifecycle-aware business logic.
Experience creating and testing database management systems using SQL and JDBC.
Experience using JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso for unit and UI testing.
