Senior Software Engineer, SRE, Retail and Pharmacy

What you'll do

• Own the SLI/SLO health and design multi-signal alerting strategies for assigned engineering domains.
• Tune and maintain ML-based anomaly detection models to reduce alert fatigue and improve signal quality.
• Lead incident command as a Technical Incident Commander, managing bridge calls and authoring detailed runbooks.
• Conduct structured post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement systemic improvements.
• Execute fault injection experiments and manage production readiness gates for new service deployments.
• Automate manual operational tasks using Python, Go, or Bash to eliminate recurring toil.
• Mentor software engineers on SRE practices and advocate for reliability during the design phase.
• Manage large-scale fleet operations including canary rollouts and blast radius assessments for edge devices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or related production-systems roles.
• 3+ years operating cloud-native distributed systems at production scale with active on-call responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience as an on-call Incident Commander for P1 or P2 incidents involving structured bridge leadership.
• Experience tuning and validating time-series anomaly detection models in a production observability context.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java to develop operational tooling at production quality.
• Hands-on experience designing SLIs, SLOs, and managing error budgets for critical services.
• Proven ability to drive SRE practice adoption in engineering teams without formal authority (required).
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and a log aggregation solution like Loki, Splunk, or Elasticsearch.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP with advanced Kubernetes operations including networking and resource management.
• Familiarity with fleet-scale deployment strategies, blast radius management, and configuration drift.
• Experience owning Production Readiness Reviews or service launch gates (preferred).
• Hands-on chaos or fault injection experience using LitmusChaos, Chaos Toolkit, or Gremlin (preferred).
• TIC certification or equivalent structured incident command training (preferred).
• Experience in retail, pharmacy, healthcare, or other operationally sensitive environments (preferred).
• LLM integration for operational use cases such as alert summarization or runbook suggestion (preferred).
• Experience with streaming data platforms like Apache Kafka, Redpanda, or Flink (preferred).
• Familiarity with analytical databases like ClickHouse, Druid, or TimescaleDB (preferred).
• Experience with service mesh and traffic management tools like Istio, Envoy, or Linkerd (preferred).
• Infrastructure-as-code proficiency using Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible (preferred).
