TL;DR · Staff Engineer - SRE, Retail and Pharmacy

Staff Engineer - SRE, Retail and Pharmacy joins the Site Reliability Engineering team to oversee the reliability, availability, and performance of distributed store technology across pharmacy platforms, point of sale systems, and edge computing infrastructure. This role involves building and owning core programs including observability platforms, production readiness frameworks, incident management models, and chaos engineering initiatives. You will architect multi-tier data pipelines, implement AI-enabled detection using LLMs for alert summarization, and manage fleet-scale deployment reliability across thousands of unattended nodes. Key technologies include Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Datadog, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, and Terraform. The role addresses the challenge of ensuring high availability in a hybrid cloud environment where hardware and infrastructure must remain resilient for critical retail and pharmacy operations. You will serve as a technical peer to engineering leaders, transforming reliability from an operational task into a scalable, automated capability.
