As a Senior Software Engineer on the Microsoft Advertising Mediation Service team, you will drive technical direction for a real-time auction and mediation platform. You will own architecture decisions for the request hot path, bidder adapter ecosystem, and experimentation frameworks while building highly scalable Go services with strict single-digit millisecond latency requirements. What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4+ years of engineering experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Master's degree and 6+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in relevant programming languages.
Deep production experience with Go, including profiling, GC tuning, concurrency patterns, and performance-sensitive code.
Experience building and operating latency-sensitive backend services with strict SLA requirements for high availability.
Hands-on experience with OpenRTB, programmatic advertising, header bidding, or similar auction platforms like Prebid Server.
Proficiency in designing auction systems involving pricing logic, bidder filtration, and dynamic reserve pricing at scale.
Production experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and Azure services including ACR, Key Vault, Event Hubs, and Azure DevOps.
Ability to pass the required Microsoft Cloud background check.
