What you'll do

Bring new AI models and architectures onto the Maia platform.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across software, systems, and hardware layers.
Optimize performance, scalability, and serving capabilities for production AI workloads.
Build automation and validation infrastructure to accelerate model onboarding processes.
Develop engineering systems to make model onboarding faster and more repeatable.
Perform hardware bring-up and performance characterization for new hardware generations.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the entire technology stack.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C++ or Python.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and other required security screenings.
Understanding of modern AI model architectures, inference systems, and performance characteristics (preferred).
Experience with AI/ML frameworks, runtimes, or serving stacks like PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, vLLM, or TensorRT-LLM (preferred).
Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues across software, systems, and hardware layers (preferred).
Familiarity with performance analysis, distributed systems, accelerator architectures, or large-scale production services (preferred).
Experience enabling software on new hardware platforms through bring-up, characterization, or hardware-software debugging (preferred).
