Senior Software Engineer - Guidewire Developer As a Senior-level individual contributor, you will design, configure, integrate, and support complex Guidewire Cloud applications while providing technical guidance and mentoring to other developers. You will lead solution designs using Cloud APIs, REST services, microservices, and vendor platforms while collaborating with business, architecture, and delivery teams. Your daily work involves performing performance engineering, testing, production implementation, and defect resolution within an Agile framework. The role requires expertise in Guidewire Policy Center using Gosu, PCF, Data Model, Rules, and APD. You will utilize technologies including Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, J2EE, and Google Cloud tools to solve problems within the insurance industry. Additionally, you may leverage AI-assisted engineering tools like Copilot or Claude Code to accelerate development, code generation, and unit test creation for complex systems and subsystems.

What you'll do

Design, configure, integrate, and support complex Guidewire Cloud applications using Cloud APIs, REST services, and microservices.
Lead the configuration and integration of vendor applications with internal systems and resources.
Provide advanced technical consultation to business and IT leaders regarding performance engineering, testing, and production stability.
Mentor staff and provide technical guidance across all phases of the development and implementation process.
Research and evaluate new technologies to recommend cost-effective programming solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Act as a primary liaison between clients, vendors, consulting resources, and internal application teams.
Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and defect resolution.
Manage the implementation of applications into production and testing environments while ensuring SLA compliance.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of systems analysis and application program development experience.
At least 4 years of Guidewire implementation experience is required.
Experience with Guidewire Cloud platform implementations is required.
Strong experience configuring Guidewire Policy Center using Gosu, PCF, Data Model, Rules, and APD.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing Guidewire integrations using Cloud APIs, REST APIs, Integration Gateway, App Events, Kafka, and microservices.
In-depth knowledge and experience with Agile system development life cycle is required.
Guidewire Policy Center Ace or Guidewire Cloud Integration Ace certification is a plus.
