What you'll do

Build and enhance core billing features using JVM languages, cloud platforms, and front-end technologies like React.
Fix bugs, refactor code, and continuously improve existing systems to solve real customer problems.
Take ownership of new applications from initial design through to production deployment and monitoring.
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies in partnership with SDETs to maintain quality standards.
Manage live production environments to ensure operational excellence and system reliability.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
Write efficient, scalable queries for relational databases to support high-volume billing operations.

What we're looking for

You must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred) or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and military service.
10+ years of experience as a full stack Java developer.
Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages (preferred).
Deep experience working with relational databases and writing efficient, scalable queries.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
Experience developing microservices with Spring Boot.
Familiarity with DevOps concepts and cloud-native deployment practices.
Experience with version control and code collaboration tools like Git and GitHub.
Experience with Google Pub/Sub or event-driven frameworks like Kafka (preferred).
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Burp, or Curl (preferred).
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud services or other cloud environments (preferred).
Knowledge of batch processing, preferably with Airflow or Google Cloud Composer (preferred).
Experience with monitoring and performance tuning using tools like Grafana or DataDog (preferred).
