What you'll do

Own the signed boot chain including firmware, bootloaders, UEFI Secure Boot, and encrypted root filesystems.
Manage signing keys using HSM-backed infrastructure and separate development and production trust roots.
Define and implement platform hardening for network exposure, privilege restrictions, and physical interface lockdowns.
Drive vulnerability management by tracking CVEs and developing patching strategies for the fielded fleet.
Translate security requirements into shippable implementations in partnership with the internal security organization.
Act as the team's security liaison to support program-specific accreditation efforts.

What we're looking for

4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Linux or embedded systems.
Hands-on experience implementing a secure boot chain, including code signing, chain of trust, and UEFI Secure Boot.
Practical cryptographic engineering skills in PKI, certificate hierarchies, HSM-backed signing, and full-disk encryption.
Strong Linux internals knowledge regarding patching, boot flow, kernel, initrd, systemd, and access control.
Proficiency in C or Rust and fluency in shell.
Practical experience in hardening and vulnerability management, including attack-surface reduction and CVE triage on deployed fleets.
Ability to communicate security decisions to engineering teams and program stakeholders.
US person status, with an active or reactivatable US Secret clearance.
