What you'll do

Design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and architectures for GitHub Copilot models and analytics.
Develop and extend scalable ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and store high-volume data from diverse sources.
Improve system availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance using modern engineering practices.
Build tools and systems to process and curate large-scale datasets for AI model innovation.
Participate in on-call rotations as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor and troubleshoot data services.
Implement and manage production services using agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience in C# or Python.
Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in multiple programming languages.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.
3+ years of experience developing scalable, multi-threaded infrastructure/backend software with C# or Python.
5+ years of professional software development experience specifically in data processing systems.
2+ years of experience developing data ETL services and cloud services.
2+ years of experience in software engineering practices including data structures, algorithms, testing, and debugging.
Experience running 24/7 Azure-based services and working with experimentation or telemetry systems.
