As a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer on the Virtual Machine Data Plane team, you will develop hypervisor technology that powers cloud infrastructure virtual machines. You will build and optimize host-side software to ensure secure, high-performance, multi-tenant compute across Intel, AMD, and Arm architectures. Your daily responsibilities include developing live-migration capabilities for seamless maintenance, strengthening security through Shielded Instances and Confidential Computing, and solving complex systems problems involving CPU virtualization, memory management, device emulation, networking, storage, and fault recovery. You will also build automated validation tools, instrument services with telemetry, and collaborate with hardware vendors to integrate new platforms.
